Summit Colostrum, founded 2022

SUMMIT COLOSTRUM is named in loving memory of my horse Summit and is founded on a passion to provide natural immune and health support to horses, across all breeds and ages.

SUMMIT COLOSTRUM provides natural, bioactive colostral components for equine immune, nutritional, and digestive support. Recommended as part of a daily feeding program, colostrum provides additional wellness assistance during training, recovery, travel-related stress, and possible exposure to disease-related pathogens. 

At SUMMIT COLOSTRUM, we truly care about the health and wellbeing of your horse. Dedicated to providing the highest quality product, our colostrum is sourced from US dairies’ first day milkings to ensure the highest concentration of bioactive and immuno-supportive components. Summit Colostrum helps provide a natural alternative product to promote equine health and can be used to support daily, seasonal, and special activities. 

History

In 2021, a violent viral outbreak swept through my horse Summit’s boarding stable. Many of the resident horses became infected. Those who survived were faced with the sobering reality of a difficult road to recovery.  I was forced to make the heartbreaking decision to put Summit down, due to his weakened immune system and kidney failure. This traumatic event forever changed me and subsequently, the whole course of my life.  Having a family background of the effectiveness of bovine colostrum and knowing that there likely were preventative measures which could have helped the affected horses, I knew my mission would be to help bring nature’s superfood, colostrum, to the equine world.

For more than three decades, my family has been a global leader in developing efficacious colostrum products for numerous species. My grandfather developed an innovative processing technique to preserve the bioactivity of colostrum by utilizing proven spray drying techniques to maintain colostrum’s natural composition. Years of efficacy studies, research and development, and passion for quality and integrity, resulted in the top colostrum products in the world.

Today, my mission is to make this natural bioactive supplement available to the diverse and dedicated equine community. My passion for horses is absolute, and my desire is for them to live their very best lives. Together, as stewards of our horses’ wellbeing, I believe SUMMIT COLOSTRUM will make the equine world a healthier and happier place…one champion and beloved horse at a time!
